The Billerica girls volleyball team raised more than $1,700 during its annual Dig Pink match last week with Central Catholic.
The match is an event hosted through the Side Out Foundation to raise money for breast cancer research. Both teams donned their pink uniforms and many fans came to support wearing pink.
In addition to the money raised during the match, outside donations helped bring to figure to over $2,000.
