FIELD HOCKEY
Kayla Johnston scored the winning goal late in the first half as No. 8 Wellesley (11-2-4) defeated No. 9 Braintree, 2-1, in a Div. 1 South first-round contest. . . . Alex Sullivan tallied the game’s only goal in the opening half as No. 10 Franklin (12-3-4) edged No. 7 Bridgewater-Raynham, 1-0. . . . Katie Lindmark scored the game-winning goal with a minute left in overtime to give No. 6 King Philip (13-2-4) a 2-1 victory over No. 11 Canton.
Lucas Crook and Christine Nasiff scored to give No. 3 Somerset Berkley (16-0-3) defeated No. 14 Notre Dame, 2-1. . . . Maggie Dolan scored the game-winning goal in double overtime as No. 12 Hopkinton (13-3-4) ousted No. 5 Silver Lake, 2-1.
Gabby Venezia led the scoring with two goals and an assist, and Maddie Leitner added two assists of her own as No. 1 Watertown (19-0) defeated No. 8 Weston 6-0 in the Div. 2 North quarterfinals.
Gianna Cote scored as No. 5 Triton (13-4-2) nipped No. 4 Marblehead, 1-0, in a Div. 2 North quarterfinal contest. . . . Rachel Alexander and Taylor Abbott scored as No. 7 Gloucester (14-4-2) knocked off No. 2 Manchester Essex, 2-1.

BOYS SOCCER
Sebastian Macias had two goals and an assist as No. 2 East Boston (16-2) rolled to a 7-0 win over No. 15 Madison Park in a Div. 1 North first-round contest. . . . Aidan Dooley scored a goal in his first game back from injury as No. 6 St. John’s Prep (12-4-3) shutout No. 11 Medford (10-6-3), 3-0.
Dominic Berthiaume had a goal and an assist as No. 15 Dighton-Rehoboth (10-7-3) defeated No. 18 Somerset Berkley, 3-1, in a Div. 2 South preliminary round contest.
Vova Quigley led the scoring with two goals and an assist, and Jack O’Dea added two goals of his own, as No. 3 St. Joseph’s Prep (15-4) topped No. 14 Mamonides, 5-0, in a Div. 4 North first-round battle. . . . Nolan Perez tallied two goals, helping No. 6 St. Mary’s (13-4-4) to a 3-1 victory over No. 11 Ipswich. . . . Ryan DiNapoli scored the game’s only goal as No. 8 Austin Prep (10-2-8) defeated No. 9 Lynnfield, 1-0
Wyatt Ansel, Berti Blaine and Matt Elliott each had goals, as No. 15 Cardinal Spellman (10-7-5) defeated No. 18 Sturgis West 3-1 in a Div. 4 South preliminary round battle.

GIRLS SOCCER
Liz Dumas scored in each half as No. 2 Brookline (17-1-1) cruised to a 4-0 victory over No. 15 Boston Latin in a Div. 1 North first-round contest.
Emily Charette found the back of the net twice, as No. 11 Bishop Fenwick (9-7-3) ran to a 4-0 victory over No. 6 Whittier in a Div. 3 North first-round tilt.
Cerys Balmer got No. 8 Dover-Sherborn (10-5-4) off and running with an early goal and the Raiders never looked back in defeating No. 9 Tri-County, 6-0, in a Div. 3 South first-round contest. . . . Meg Hughes tallied the game-winner with five minutes left in overtime to give No. 5 Old Rochester (14-4-1) a 2-1 victory over No. 12 Ashland.
Jenna Foley scored the game-winner with three minutes to lift No. 12 St. Mary’s (10-0) to a 1-0 victory over No. 5 Essex Tech in a Div. 4 North first-round contest.

VOLLEYBALL
Julia Bushell had 10 kills as top-seeded Case (20-2) advanced to the Div. 3 South quarterfinals with a 3-0 victory over No. 17 Bristol-Plymouth.
