Boston College knows the feeling of securing verbal commitments from local recruits, only to see them decommit and head elsewhere.
Earlier today, the Eagles had one land their way.
Lawrence Academy running back A.J. Dillon decommitted from Michigan and decided to verbally commit to Boston College. While rumors have been surfacing over the past few weeks that Dillon was wavering from his original commitment, he confirmed the rumors earlier today via twitter. The powerfully-built 6-foot-1, 240-pounder ran for more than 600 yards and 12 touchdowns in four games this season before suffering a season-ending leg injury.
Dillon burst onto the season last season as he rushed for 1,887 yards and 26 touchdowns, leading Lawrence Academy to the ISL and Wayne Sanborn Bowl titles
